WHY I JOINED THE JOHN BIRCH SOCIETY

      I feel it is necessary to point out that much of the RMN
      Forum, of late, seems to have been taken over with posts of
      an alarmingly communistic, New Age flavor.

      These people are certainly entitled to voice their opinions.
      But I feel it is my duty, as a freedom-loving patriot and
      defender of the Constitution, to counter these posts with an
      opposing view.

      In the past few months, I had been feeling increasingly
      frustrated at seeing the dearth of any REAL activism to take
      back our country and DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION --not just on
      RMN-- but on other sites as well. Those willing to stick
      their necks out, to TAKE A STAND, TO FIGHT, to do what is
      right; to NOT compromise their principles NO MATTER WHAT.

      For many years, I've had friends in the John Birch Society.
      Most repeatedly requested that I join them. I didn't, only
      because I'm not a "joiner" by nature. I'm used to being a
      lone gun, to working alone.

      But I have now changed my mind. I moved to Maine permanently
      this past June. One of several reasons for relocating, aside
      from wanting to be right near the ocean, was that Maine is a
      great state for gun owners. New York was a nightmare in that
      regard !

      Many of the people here are what I can only call "rugged
      individualists". Maybe a trite phrase, but accurate.

      Anyway, as soon as I got here I hung my flag on my upper
      porch, the old Patriot flag which says Liberty or Death,
      Don't Tread on Me, with a coiled snake, ready to strike.

      I hired a man to winterize my house, as it had formerly been
      a summer place only. One day, while putting insulation in the
      upstairs rooms, he walked out on the porch and saw the flag.
      He told me he was a member of JBS, and that there was a local
      chapter nearby in the town of Biddeford. He asked me if I'd
      like to attend one of the meetings. I thought, why not ? I
      don't know anyone up here and it would be a way to make
      friends with like-minded people.

      Several days later I got a call from the head of the JBS
      chapter. The contractor had told him about me, he came to
      visit me, we had a long talk and he invited me to join.

      I saw no reason not to. I have had it UP TO HERE with these
      wimpy, whiny, waffling weathervanes who turn anyway the wind
      blows and make their decisions as a matter of political
      expediency, ignorance, delusions, New Age brainwashing, or
      fear of the consequences should they oppose the tyrants and
      NWO.

      As I have repeatedly said, IF EVERY INDIVIDUAL stood up and
      shouted NO ! They're NOT going to do that to ME ! They're NOT
      going to infringe on MY inalienable rights; they're NOT going
      to grab MY guns; They're NOT going to steal MY hard earned
      money; They're NOT going to take away MY private property;
      They're NOT going to violate MY privacy......We would NOT
      have this hideous, intolerable situation in this country.

      The PATRIOT ACT is NOT the LAW ! The CONSTITUTION IS THE
      SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND.

      THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY IS AN ILLEGAL ENTITY.

      For me, it does not even exist.

      Because as God is my witness, the minute any of these gov't
      b*stards come to MY door for ANY reason to try and take away
      MY freedom, what they'll hear from inside the house is the
      resounding CRACK! ( and there is no other like it !) of a
      pump action shotgun being readied for use. Lock and load. And
      more likely than not, these cowards and traitors will be
      running for cover.

      They'll never take me alive. But even if they take me out,
      I'll take a few of the S.O.B.s with me.
